BES were engaged to supply and install seven replacement vehicle access barriers, controlling entry and exit at the Royal Victoria Hospital Staff Car Parks. Approximately 2,000 barrier activations occurred daily and barrier reliability and functionality were of vital importance.

The Old Bushmills Distillery has been in existence since 1608, and their whiskey is known as one of the best in the world. BES have been carrying out work at this prestigious facility for the past 4 years, installing various types of doors and loading bay equipment. This particular project was part of their distillery expansion to facilitate their growing production.

BES were engaged to supply, install and commission one fire shutter and one fold-up curtain speed door. Both doors were 5,800mm wide x 5,400mm high and were fitted to a prepared “H” beam steel frame, within a new opening in Sandvik’s manufacturing plant.

BES procured the outer Fire Shutter door from Paramount, in Ireland and the inner Traffic CM Fold up curtain door from Ditec in Italy.

BES were the nominated contractor to replace six doors at the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service’s (NIFRS) Cadogan Fire Station on the Lisburn Road, Belfast.

The work entailed removing and disposing of six existing sliding doors arranged in three bays of two doors and the supply, installation and commissioning of six replacement bifold doors (three automated and three manually operated plus the inclusion of one “wicket” type access door in one of the manual doors).

BES were appointed the contractor in late 2016 to supply and install 6 replacement doors at Newry Fire Station. The existing doors were more than 20 years old and were proving unreliable.

BES supplied and installed 6 Hormann ALR F42 Fully Glazed Sectional Doors for 3 bays.
