BES commits to:

  • Adopt safe working practices that preserves the health, safety and welfare of all employees and others who may be affected by our activities
  • To ensure that all facilities, tools and equipment and PPE are maintained in a safe condition and the provision of safe areas of work
  • The provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure that employees are aware of the hazards of their work and their responsibilities for carrying out work safely
  • Establish and document specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound Aims and Objectives that will be reviewed twice per annum
  • Provide standards of communication and consultation that promotes the inclusion of employees and others in developing and promoting effective measures to ensure their health, safety and welfare at work
  • Provide leadership and take whatever action is necessary to ensure that every employee works safely and does not put their own health and safety and that of others at risk
  • Monitor health and safety performance to promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements
  • Ensure that incidents are thoroughly investigated and that any preventative actions are fully implemented

These commitments will be reviewed periodically to ensure they remain relevant and appropriate.
