Old Bushmills Distillery, Bushmills – New Doors
The Old Bushmills Distillery has been in existence since 1608, and their whiskey is known as one of the best in the world. BES have been carrying out work at this prestigious facility for the past 4 years, installing various types of doors and loading bay equipment. This particular project was part of their distillery expansion to facilitate their growing production.
BES were engaged to supply, install and commission four Roller Shutter doors together with eight personnel doors. Two of the roller shutter doors were specialised “Punched and Glazed” finish (both measuring 3,000mm x 4,500mm) and two were traditional roller shutter doors (3,500mm x 4,500mm and 2,600mm x 3,000mm).
The eight Personnel doors were a mix of five Single Doors and two Double Doors complete with louvred panels, manufactured by Assa Abloy in Northern Ireland.
The “Punched and Glazed” finish is aesthetic affording maximum light penetration through the brick bond manufacture. The polycarbonate outer glazing keeps wind and dust from ingress into the building.
All shutters and personnel doors were to be finished in Old Bushmills corporate colours.
